This is probably caused by the server not properly having refreshed/updated the newly set password. Restart the server, wait 5 minutes, and you should be able to join.

If this didn't fix the issue, make sure that your password doesn't contain any special characters, and only characters in the english alphabet. Also make sure the password is between 5 and 20 characters long.
