Valheim whitelist/permitted list let's you choose who is able to join your server by using their Steam ID. This, along with a password, is a good way to protect your server from intruders.

 

To use the Valheim whitelist (permitted list):
Step 1: Log into our control panel.
Step 2: Go to the "File Manager" tab.
Step 3: Go to > .config/unity3d/IronGate/Valheim
Step 4: Open the permittedlist.txt file. Within this file, you will need to input the players SteamID64, you can find that by heading to this website and inputting their Steam Community Link. Alternatively, they can press F2 in-game for a pop-up that will show your SteamID.
Step 5: Restart your server. Done!
