As plugin - Spigot, Paper, Purpur, Crossplay or any other type of JAR that works with Spigot plugins

1.Make sure that your server is running Paper, Spigot, Purpur or any type of server JAR that is compatible with plugins for this tutorial (this includes our Minecraft: Crossplay plans as well).

2.Stop your server.

3.Install the Dynmap plugin by downloading it at https://github.com/webbukkit/dynmap/releases/latest. The file to download depends on which version of Minecraft you are running (<minecraftversion> refers to the version of Minecraft the plugin is for and <pluginversion> simply refers to the version of the plugin. You would always want the latest version here) download the file named "Dynmap-<pluginversion>-spigot-<minecraftversion>.jar".

4.Go to the File Manager tab on the game server panel and place the downloaded file by opening the correct folder and dragging the file in to the folder area. Place the downloaded plugin (.jar file) in the plugins folder.

5. Go to the Network tab on the Game server panel and click "Create Allocation". Then, copy the port value of the new allocation (it should have 4, 5 or 6 numbers like 6277). Remember this port number for later in the tutorial.

6.Start your server (in the Console tab).

7.Go back to the File Manager tab. Enter the plugins folder, followed by the dynmap folder, and then click on the file called "configuration.txt".

8.Find the option (line) called "deftemplatesuffix". Here, enter the value "lowres". It should look like follows:

deftemplatesuffix: lowres

9.Then, find the option (line) called "webserver-port". Change this value to the port from the allocation you created in step 5. It should like like follows (but replace 6277 with the port you created):

webserver-port: 6277

10.Now, save the file (click "Save Content" in the bottom right corner), and restart your server (in the Console tab).

11.Now you can view your Dynmap by going to your server address (minus the game port) followed by : and your allocated port (the port you added in the dynmap config), like "athena.365hosts.games:6277" in your web browser of choice. For example, if your server address was "athena.365hosts.games:80234" and your allocated port was 7642, you would enter "athena.365hosts.games:7642" in your browser.

As mod - Forge or Fabric

1.Make sure that your server is running Forge or Fabric for this tutorial.

2.Stop your server.

3.Install the Dynmap mod by downloading it at https://github.com/webbukkit/dynmap/releases/latest. The file to download depends on which version of Minecraft you are running (<minecraftversion> refers to the version of Minecraft the plugin is for and <pluginversion> simply refers to the version of the plugin. You would always want the latest version here) download the file named "Dynmap-<pluginversion>-forge-<minecraftversion>.jar" if you're running Forge or "Dynmap-<pluginversion>-fabric-<minecraftversion>.jar" if you're running Fabric.

4.Go to the File Manager tab on the game server panel and place the downloaded mod file (.jar) by opening the correct folder and dragging the file in to the folder area. Place the downloaded mod (.jar file) in the mods folder.

5.Go to the Network tab on the Game server panel and click "Create Allocation". Then, copy the port value of the new allocation (it should have 4, 5 or 6 numbers like 6277). Remember this port number for later in the tutorial.

6.Start your server (in the Console tab).

7.Go back to the File Manager tab. Enter the dynmap folder, and then click on the file called "configuration.txt".

8.Find the option (line) called "deftemplatesuffix". Here, enter the value "lowres". It should look like follows:

9.Then, find the option (line) called "webserver-port". Change this value to the port from the allocation you created in step 5. It should like like follows (but replace 6277 with the port you created):

10.Now, save the file (click "Save Content" in the bottom right corner), and restart your server (in the Console tab).
