If you are switching from another adult hosting service to 365hosts, the steps you need to take to accomplish this are fairly straightforward. This knowledgebase article provides you with a to-do list for switching your site hosting to 365hosts.

Step 1: Don’t be tempted to cancel your old hosting service until you have completely migrated your sites to your new hosting, and have tested that everything is working properly. If you do cancel your old hosting, and something goes wrong with the migration to 365hosts, your site will be offline until you solve the problem.

Step 2: Try to use the same control panel on both hosts. So, if your old hosts use cPanel, you should be using cPanel here at 365hosts. Use your control panel’s backup option to backup all of your sites, and then download them in your browser to your desktop.

Step 3: Log in to your control panel here at 365hosts, and use the restore function to upload the site backups you previously downloaded.

Step 4: Now you need to change your websites DNS records to point at the new IP address of your 365hosts hosting. Please note, that it can take up to 24 hours for DNS changes to propagate globally.

Step 5: Once you are sure that your DNS changes have fully propagated, a test that your site is working perfectly on your 365hosts hosting. If it is, you can now go ahead and cancel your old hosting service.
